My turn..... I will share a little of my Valentines gift the new Rod Stewart Soulbook...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Hoverin' by my suitcase
Tryin' to find a warm place to spend the night
Heavy rain fallin'
Seems I hear your voice callin' it's all right

A rainy night in Georgia
Such a rainy night in Georgia
It seems like it's rainin' all over the world
And I feel like it's rainin' all over the world

Neon signs are flashin'
Taxi cabs and buses passin' through the night
A distant moanin' of a train
Seems to play a sad refrain to the night

A rainy night in Georgia
Such a rainy night in Georgia
Lord, I believe it's rainin' all over this world
I feel like it's rainin' all over the world

How many times I've wondered
It still comes out the same
No matter how you look at it or think of it
It's life and you just gotta play the game, play the game

I find me a place in a box car
So I take my guitar to pass some time
Late at night when it's hard to rest
I hold your picture to my chest and I feel fine

But it's a rainy night in Georgia
Baby, it's a rainy night in Georgia
I feel like it's rainin' all over the world
Kinda lonely now 'cause it's rainin' all over the world

It's rainin', rainin', rainin', rainin'
Rainin' all over the world
I'm cold and I'm lonely and it's rainin'
Rainin' all over the world
It's rainin', rainin', rainin', rainin' all over the world

Did I forget anything Ms Brinda..

Ahhhh Pheadra! Thanks for the new thread and also for a beeUtiful song! His voice has sex written all over it!

WTG Allison, we need someone to keep us on the right track!

I'm trying to catch up on the PBR thread. LOL Kelley, I spewed my coffee when I read public restroom.

Allison, are you a PBR fan too? I love any rodeo!!! Actually my DIL says I love it because I get to see all those cute wrangler butts. LOL Can't beat a cowboy with tight wranglers on!

Shoot Juanita, I do not remember who won. I did write it down and his score so I hope I still have that paper. I'll check!

One of the best parts was Flint Rasmussen, he must be the best at what he does and so funny! He has such electric energy and keeps the crowd going while they're waiting on the bulls.

LOL Miss Brin! I was reading your eats and thought, did she take a pic? Do not take one now of it. Yes, exactly. LOL

Oh Kell, I have a story. LOL When we finished lunch, I ran to the restroom before we left. As I was walking to the sink, I wasn't paying much attention to what I was doing as I was looking all around the restroom at all the stuff they had on the walls. So I ran my hand under the soap dispenser and then under the water faucet and as I looked down, someone had tossed what looked like the crabcakes that I just ate. Ick... made my stomach do flip flops! Grumbling

Sunshine, do not worry about a lack of sports in this house. LOL Football is gone and now we have NASCAR And of all things they started the season with the Daytona 500 on Valentine's Day. It's really a miracle that Allan even took me anywhere since the Daytona 500 was on Sunday. LOL

Janet, whatcha making now? I know you're making something gorgeous & copper.

Today is work day for me. I'm not sure how I am going to do it but somehow I have to do 4 days worth of work in 1 day. Wish me luck. LOL Braden was out of school yesterday and since he just got his permit, he looks for any reason to drive. So we spent most of our day looking for land. And actually, we might have found some (I can only hope). We found 5 acres that is a great piece of land with a pond at the back of it. The only downside to the property is that you have to drive a mile on gravel roads and that really isn't appealing to me at all. We will see though, hopefully we'll make the right decision soon.

Have a beautiful day everyone... I'm so ready for spring!!!!

I used to barrel race... so naturally ... I don't follow on tv much... but go to see live ones now & then... and go to cowtown rodeo here in NJ every few years... wrangler butts are a big bonus!!!

if you have the time here are some videos of me & my boy Mo from 2001 (had to sell him once we bought the house in 2004:::sniff sniff:::)

Actually Brinda, I'm making tax returns at this time. Crying

Connie's daughter is having some health issues so we aren't creating anything right now. We've got a few things well be making as soon as these other things are out of the way. One is a coleus for our dear friend Alice. The other is a 3 dimensional open weave type heart for our dear friend Joann (ge). The ideas for both of these are still in the preliminary stages, but we'll take plenty of photos as soon as the creations begin.

I'd like to invite all of you to visit the Artisan's Nook (see below for the link). I know there are an incredible amount of artistically talented people already on Cubits and everyone is welcome to come in and visit and show off their talents. I hope to see you folks there!

Hugs all around Group hug I cannot wait for Spring to arrive!!!

Janet

Wow Allison! I am so impressed!!!!! I love your videos as much as I love barrel racing! You are quite talented and Mo is just stunning! There's nothing like seeing the world thru the ears of a horse, huh?

Allison, since you're a barrel racer you've probably heard of my cousin, the world champion barrel racer, Deb Mohon. She had such a talent and such a love for her sport and her animals. Tragically she was taken from us way too soon. http://www.kltv.com/Global/sto...

Oh Janet, I just can't wait to see what you're going to do. I need you to do something special for my garden about my Sweet Mom. She so loved my garden and everything that grew. I can still see her going around to almost every plant and touching them and admiring the blooms. I'll have to think on that for awhile as to what I want.

I miss it so much... words can't explain... and yes I did know of your cousin... and heard about the accident.. so sorry for your loss... terrible to hear things like that

Mo was a good boy.. but had his moments... we were at a show in PA early in the season.. still full of P@$$ and vinegar from winter... there was a friend of mine who had a mare in heat.. and Mo fell in love.. even though he was a gelding .. he foaled a baby when he was too young to do that.. so he knew what it was... when I went in for my warm up run.. that sucker bucked in protest of me taking him away from his woman... so badly I got tossed off landed face first and busted open my chin... wind knocked out of me.. blood all over my chest.. I get up and butt heads I ride with are holding up fake numbers marking me out.. was ready to beat one of them off the fence... Mo was standing by the trailer in his spot I tied him at... just knowing he was in trouble... but I was determined to fix this bad day.. and get over the fear of falling right away.. I knew if it stewed it would be worse later on.. so a girl we rode with was an EMT... had her clean me up... glue the wound shut with crazy glue (really did need stitches) slapped a couple of butterfly bandaids on... lunged him till he was tired.. and lunged him again!!.. ended up winning a $300.00 check that day!!!.. my buddies thought i was nuts.. and yeah well I guess I am.. but he was good as gold all year .. but had to hammer me once a year.. once I knew it was out of his system I was good to go.. LOL.. and by the way I only rode for 5 years... and raced for 3.. was not born on horseback.. lived in a city growing up.. had a really good teacher though .. and boy could he pick a horse.. he found Mo for me out in Ohio.. before that he let me lease his old barrel horse that trained me right.. the horse was 19 and running for me like he was 8.. the owner said he must really love me.. had to stop racing him when his kidneys shut down... but he recovered and used as a trail horse... owner thought he was pushing himself so hard just to please me.. but at that age he was running 1D times.. the show before he got sick I came in 25 out of 300 riders.. and racing for less than a year... granted there was no winning money.. but made me happy cry after

Morning everyone.
Good song Pheadra
I bet you enjoy going to that terrific greenhouse about this time of year.
I'm saying a prayer for you Brinda that you find a wonderful place to build.
Of course I'd prefer a pond and bordered on 3 sides with Longhorn ranchers.
So sad about that gutsy cousin of yours.
I always loved the Rodeo and when I was 11 I wanted to be a Rodeo Clown.
When you get to the deep south it's just not here.
Allison I enjoyed watching you and Mo and also your music.
Janet, that's a terrific picture.
Farmer's Almanac says 50% chance frost will be gone after March 1st here.
One day it's cold, then 3 days of spring and then it's a sultry 90°.
I gotta do something today!

Wrangler butts are the best! You are so right Brinda! My favorite was always J.W. Hart and Tuff Hedeman. Things aren't the same without them around.

Just taking a break from glazing some ceramics and knocking down icicles. Man it is cold out there right now.

Yeah he is Allison. A lot of the times when we would go to the events, we would be in the first or second row close to the announcers area. It was fun watching them carrying on as well. What I always liked was that everyone came out afterwards and signed autographs. Including Tuff. Got some good ones.

Yeah we encountered PETA going to the Balitmore show one year. Just shows you how uninformed they are. Those stock contractors take better care of the bulls than they do their kids. :))
