Good Morning!!!

What a day it was yesterday. When I got out of bed my closet door was open and I thought, TODAY IS THE DAY! I was such a good domestic goddess yesterday. I cleaned on that closet for hours & hours. I have so much junk crammed in there and I am determined to get this house cleaned out before we have to start packing to move. Even though we won't be moving for months, I figure it will take me months & months to get it done. LOL

Juanita, so how's the weather now? I think of you every time I hear that we have another storm from moving in. And yes, we have another moving in tomorrow and one right after that so get ready!

Allison, I just watched your videos again. I really like watching Mo in slow motion. Horses are such beautiful animals to me and I love so see him move.

Janet, I knew you'd be doing taxes but I'd rather forget that it's tax season. Ugh, I have to do my Mom's taxes this year and I just do not want to tackle all of it. Not only is it depressing it's a ton of work!!!

My DIL was here last night and she started talking plants. The more she talked the more excited I got. LOL Normally I would have my face planted in the computer monitor right after January 1st looking at plants but I didn't this year so her excitement is really good for me. She tells me that this year needs to be my most spectacular year since we're putting the house on the market. She's so cute... she keeps telling me that curb appeal is so important. Ha, most of my curb appeal is in the backyard. LOL

Allison & Juanita, I know both of you took cuttings and are way ahead of the rest of us. Pheadra, what about you? Do you have a greenhouse full of cuttings too? How bout some greenhouse pics to get us through the winter blues?

Off to do some work... have a beautiful day everyone!

thanks Brinda... it used to amaze me how my foot used to get so close to the ground in some when he took his turns.. some of the photos are amazing how leaned over he is... we had a bad wipe out in Herdon, VA... wish I could find that video... the ground just couldn't hold him and we both went down.. frightening watching it afterwords when I realized how close my head was to the barrel... but I put sound effects to it.. which made me laugh.. if I ever dig it up I will post em

Sheesh, that took me all of 4 hours to do. LOL And I see that I need to work on it a bit. Looks like it isn't long enough to the right.

Awesome banner Brin!!

I have some cuttings, but they are not doing well. This was my worst winter ever. I think a lot of it was because the stock was weak when I brought it in. Bad growing season here last summer. Too much rain. Anyway, I am losing them faster than they are growing.

Been doing the clean out thing as well. We are having our floors redone in various stages around here, so each room I go through, I have been packing away things I don't use but don't want to get rid of. DH will fully retire in a few years and then we will be moving, so I packed up all the good glassware and china already. Save some time later and I never use it anyway. Amazing what a pile of stuff there is.

Bright sunny day for a change, but colder than a witches *** out there.

How about an orchid??

Hey, thanks! I love that banner but I'm working on more. It's just slow going and I'm not that savvy when it comes to doing things like this. (anyone notice the quotes to the right?)

Good Morning!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day. We got up to 65* and the sun was so bright and felt so good. It just makes me want spring to come earlier!

Juanita, pretty orchid! So, when your DH retires where do you plan to move? I know you must be having a time with all the construction or floor laying at your house. It seems any project like that just balloons into so much work.

Right now I am in the 'throw it out or give it away' stage. I have to do something with all the things that we've accumulated over the years that we have no use for. Sheesh, most stuff has been stuck back for years and we've not missed it so we much not need it, right? It's time!!!! It is so time!!! And the thought of what is ahead of me at my dear Mom's house makes me want to puke. She kept everything and I mean EVERYTHING. When her sister would clean out her house, my Mom would have her bring stuff to her house. So she has tons of junk that her sister was going to give away. Then my Grandparents moved into my Mom's house for a 3 years before they went to a nursing home so she has all their stuff too. It's just so overwhelming to me.

Warning to all you that are east of me... storms are coming! Ugh, and they're talking more snow. Be safe & stay warm.

I'm off to do some work... my boss will be so proud of me. Rolling on the floor laughing

I forgot to mention that it's almost time for NCFarms cuttings co-op and I have a couple of places open. If anyone is interested, send me a c-mail.

It's a great deal... cuttings for 9 cents a piece.

I have the neatest new thing to share with all of you.
Just leave it to Google to come up with something like this!
Here's a number worth putting in your cell phone, or your home phone speed dial: 1-800-goog-411. This is an awesome service from Google ... and it's free -- great when you are on the road.

Don't waste your money on information calls and don't waste your time manually dialing the number... Here's an example of how it works. I am driving along in my car and I need to call the golf course and I don't know the number. I hit the speed dial for information that I have programmed ... 1-800-goog-411.

The voice at the other end says, 'City & State.' I say, Venice , Florida ,' He says, 'Business, Name or Type of Service.' I say, Firewheel Golf Course.' He says, 'Connecting' and Firewheel Golf Course answers the phone. How great is that? This is nationwide and it is absolutely free!

Click on the link below and watch the short clip for a quick demonstration.
http://www.google.com/goog411
I tried it before recommending it and it works.
I programed it into my cell as A Google Info
That way I can use it on the road with little distraction.

I have too much to do now and not enough time. LOL I have made the most unbelievable mess in my bedroom and it's taking me forever to get things packed away, given away and sorted. I look at one thing for way too long. And all of this work is taking away from my playtime. I had plans to spend most of today on NCFarms website.

Hi Alice!

Sunshine, I'll have to try that goog thing out soon.

What's everyone up to? How's your weather? Our's is cold with snowflakes but not much. I stare at the calendar in front of my face wishing for warmer days.

Brinda you sound just like me. When I end up staring at the same thing for too long and not being able to make a decision I know it is time for a break. I have to take a lot of breaks.. Big Grin

sometimes it is better to walk away

Rolling on the floor laughing Allison!!!! I should have walked away for sure. I still have way too many piles to go through and now my allergies are driving me crazy after messing around all that dust. I just wish I knew what made me have such a hard time getting rid of stuff. My Grandmother and Mom were both the same way and even though I loved them dearly, I just do not want to feel like I'm suffocating with all this stuff that I've saved. I seriously need an intervention.

Do not worry Juanita, I take lots of breaks too. Unfortunately for Allan they usually end up costing him money as I feel if I'm getting rid of stuff... surely I have room for more stuff. Right?

What's going on in everyone's world today? I know a big storm is moving in again but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that isn't as big as they say it will be. Anyone here sick of cold & snow?

I've had computer issues the last couple of days. My computer did an automatic windows update and since then I've had weird issues and it keeps freezing up. Sheesh, I'm not smart enough to even begin to know what to do.

I am so ready for warm weather, sunshine, coleus & blooms!!!! Anyone else?
