Why do you think this is not Lady Lucille? I bought one from Oakes with this name. Is it because it says something like All American Selection? The one I have is beautiful and a strong grower.

On the Lady Lucille question, I bought a Lady Lucille that was/is the same as the Oakes one at least 7 years ago - from Home Depot, I think! - to plant in my daughter's garden in Salt Lake City. So that name has been around a lot longer than 2 years, but I wonder if it just wasn't registered? Or maybe registered somewhere else, like in the UK or Europe?

Yes, the one I have is an outstanding bloomer too. But I like to look up all my daylilies on AHS and compare the attributes the seller gave them to what's in the AHS database. I've been surprised sometimes in that they don't always match. I was very surprised to find that the Oakes Lady Lucille is not the same flower as the AHS Lady Lucille.
You can see the AHS one here: http://www.daylilies.org/Dayli...

You wouldn't think they would allow another DL with the same name; they are definitely different, but I prefer mine! I think I will contact Oakes and see if they can explain this. I have long noticed that they don't mention the hybridizer's name with the plants.
