Maybe my Lavender Rainbow is really Visual Intrigue? I have tags for both of them (but not on the plants, of course!) They had become very crowded and weren't blooming much, so I divided them (or one of them) and now I have blooms galore. Maybe I should take a garden view pic of it.

Good organic fertilizer can make most any plant more resistant to cold weather.

I have seen Wayne's World in two gardens within 10 miles of where I live, and at Curt Hanson's, which is a bit over 100 mies north of me. I had -28 last winter, and -20 a couple times. Wayne's World has looked good in the gardens I have seen it in this summer, so I would say it is hardy!

Because I am on my iPad, I will have to come back to edit in the link to the other photo. iPad only allows me copy/paste one thing or I lose my post.

(Edited again to add this plant and photo.... Sorry for the edits...I should go start up my Mac. )
Another unique one that has impressed me is Repertoire of Responses. A generous friend gave me some pollen of this one and I have been having lots of fun with that!

(edited again! because I saw that I did not spell the name of the plant correctly! I think it is time to clear the spell check on this iPad! It's been making some strange changes lately...)

Through The Looking Glass (24",Tet,6",SEv,M,Re) might not work for you as it is a SEv, but it has done well here with temps in the teens.

Through the Looking Glass does well here on Northern KY. We had -17 temps with no snow cover this past winter and my established clump handled it well, no fan loss.

Repertoire is a very vivid color! Just what I am looking for in a special bed I am working on. Have to look for it.

I looked it up in several places, and unfortunately, it looks much less vivid in some of the pics. Color in DL's is so variable.
Perhaps that is what the name is suggesting?

I did not have my camera when I saw it, or I would have taken photos myself. @Char might be able to speak to the camera or color of this photo.

That particular image was taken just as the bloom opened after a storm when the light makes colors vivid, also the angle of the available light is being reflected off the silver overlay.
These two were in 2012, with a Canon G12 that I use for all my images...

Both images were taken early in the morning as the blooms opened The colors will soften a bit as the day goes on. This image is also in the database taken in 2010.

It is a great bloom but I was wondering where "fawn rose" came into it in its description in the database. isn't fawn a brown colour?
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

Bringing back this thread. Thanks for all the patterned eyes that do well in zone 4. Reading back, I was wrong about Lavendar Rainbow - I must have been thinking of Rainbow Eyes.
