It's begun! I. alba is blooming! This is the first time I've been able to catch the shimmering quality .. I used 40% of normal flash.

Blue JMG

Cotyledons of a mutant JMG, which should make some sort of blue flower on a dwarf plant.

Deep purple, almost black, flowers of Ipomoea purpurea.

Sigh, all I ended up with were a couple of crimson rambler volunteers and two sweet little violet sunsmiles. This was NOT a good garden year for me: too distracted with the new construction going on to care for things properly, and then the heat just fried everything. So I'm very much enjoying all your lovely photos! Anne's I. alba photos are just stunning! And Ronnie, does that next to last nil have a name? I really like that one!
