I hope your flight is uneventful and that you have a great time, Jim. Are you going to go out and look for wild orchids while you are in Peru?

Whoo, happy flying, Jim. Last time we flew that way - to Chile in 1997 - there were smokers partying in the aisles all the way there . . . hopefully not now! I think most airlines have gone smokeless by now.

New bloomer for me today is Bc. Punakea, a nice surprise, and so far doing well. Lc. Renate is mellowing to pale pink in the hot, dry weather here - we've had thunder rumbling all around us this morning and only a spritz of rain.

We were in Pennsy, temperatures dipped last night into the upper forties there!! Brrr, I am glad had packed extra socks and Polartecs! But today was just as beautiful and warm, almost as it is supposed to be in August. ( temps at that area are usually 7 - 10 degrees cooler than in Fair Lawn. You don't ever need an air-conditioner there.)The Elderberries need one more week to turn black! Looking forwards to make my beautiful and delicious Elderberry syrup!

You did a great job on the lighting with 'The Best' Bert. It is lovely. Evening is my favorite time to take pictures outdoors, when the light is more mellow.

Last stalk on my big NOID catt nearly open today. A couple of flowers have a bit of damage from the thrips, but the other two seem fine.

Lovely show, Ursula. The Jumellea is so sweet, I had to walk out to check my little start. No spikes yet, but lots of healthy new roots coming. I have a spike on my Hoku Gem 'Sunspots' too!
