I am sad when tomato season is over. I want it to continue.

So nice to eat all the fresh tomatoes. So nice to cook fresh sauce. So good both ways.

I've had a great year with basil.

Hope springs eternal and so I planted some seedlings of Jericho romaine and Buttercrunch lettuces out in the garden today. I have ONE surviving radicchio seedling out there.. may drop a couple more seeds.
Still to go, various brassicas and the like cool crops.

Had an experimental very late 2 squash plants, one already gone so ...
Plant it and they will come.

From 4 tomato plants, I got a grand total of ZERO tomatoes. Oh,the plants produce ok. But, the critters got the fruit before I did. Sad I think I'll stick to getting mine at the grocery store. Sure, they'r enot as tasty as home grown, but I least I'll get to taste them!

Sometimes you have to just suck it up and go to the produce stand. Whistling I can barely ever get a zucchini.
Plant it and they will come.

I like having the cherry tomatoes and berries available for the critters--though I do try to gather some handfuls for myself as well. Smiling We have a shrub here called Snowberry--the birds gobble the fruit down.

found this place when I looked for seed potatoes
https://www.americanseedco.com...
But jee whiz. a pack of 10 grape tomato seeds for 6.55 AND there is shipping charged? I think they want to sell to farms, not home gardens.
And the minimum seed potatoes is five pounds. I'm not in that big.
I just wonder if my local source will have good looking potatoes this year. Their garlic was in terrible shape.
Plant it and they will come.

somehow I ended up with decorative gourd seeds one year and went ahead and planted them, not sure if they would even grow. sure enough! Very long vines and *huge* in my modest backyard. Big Grin They were still sprouting randomly when I moved out... potatoes would at least have been edible! Grin
