I'm taking care of my daughter's kitten (#1) and cat (#2) while she and her boyfriend are away. They took their dog (a 3-legged Coon Hound mix) with them. It would be easier if her cats could have the run of the house, but they can't because my cat (#3) wants to attack them. He does not like to share his house with other cats! Oddly enough, he had no problem with the dog.

All three of them are pretty kitties.

Your daughter has a three-legged dog! What happened to the missing leg? We used to have a three-legged cat. He came with three legs when we adopted him.

I had planned on a nice long exercise walk with my dog this afternoon but it's now raining. Not much rain but my silly little girl hates the rain so we will not be spending lots of time on her walk.

My big dog doesn't like rain either, she's become such a wimp! But if we took her for a walk, I think loving the walk would overcome her fear of rain.

Here's Charlie, the (female) 3-legged dog. She was hit by a car, but was still so fast that it took several months before someone could catch her and get her to a vet. In that time, her leg had healed in a curled-up position. It had been broken in 6 places and couldn't be fixed, so they decided to amputate. She runs like greased lightening anyway when she's chasing a ball.

Good news about the kitten and Sylvester...I decided to see how they did together, and they're having fun! The kitten is like a personal trainer for Sylvester, who needs to shed at least 2 pounds

Love the idea of Sylvester having a personal trainer!

I am "baby sitting" my daughter's huge dog--who is such a wimp when he is left
alone. He keeps sitting by the front door--and pacing around in expectations of her owner (my DD and SO) to come home.
I feel so sorry for him. He is so dependent on them...

He whines and paces around like a forlorn puppy. Like a Baby...
I am staying awake late because my DD has a class reunion until 11PM.
We stashed all the food things as best we could--as her dog (Dublin)
will seek out anything edible in frustration and tear things apart.
If she left him while my DD went to her reunion--Dublin would tear the
place apart in frustration.
He is such a sweetie---but cannot stand being left alone....

Yardenmen, that's a lot of cat trees. No birds on the "trees"? My neighbor's two cats spend a lot of time sitting under my bird feeder lookingat birds forlornly.

Muddy, yeah, I have heard that animals who have gone through hardship are very affectionate. My three-legged cat was very sweet too. Poor things! Just imagine what they went through!

Mike and I went to our friends' wedding on Friday. I got a real kick out of Greg walking to the arbor where they were going to say their vows with Scruffy. They had on matching tuxes LOL. I have kept Scruffy on numerous occasions when Greg and Laura have gone out of town. You have to open the picture to see Scruffy in his tux. It is so true what they say that people resemble their pets
