Yardenman, I imagine that each of your cats has a particular perch staked out; lucky cats to have a choice!
Sylvester prefers the top perch on this cat tree, even though the level the kitten is on is more his size. Go figure.

Donner, I can see a cat being happy on hard bricks, but your husband?! That looks very uncomfortable.

Looks more like a dog than my friend's dog does.

The happy news for dog owners in my town is the brand new dog park just done. Not even officially open yet but many of us in town are already using it. A very nice large dog area plus a small dog area off to the side.

My dog Lily and my friend and her dog Zack already went there. I am really pleased!!

We never had a real dog park before.

It's nice that they can run unleashed there. Sometimes they find doggy friends. Often nice owners to chat with too. I really had some nice talks with people. I started taking Addy when she was under a year to socialize. She liked it a few years. She would run and chase, pitbull types and boxers etc are good ones for her, they seem confident and unruffleable, where some other dogs seem quicker to get into dominance matches.. Now she's a middle aged lady. She just hangs with us, or sometimes tells the youngsters what to do.

Lily is young and loves to run. She really is fast and extra agile.

Thought maybe you all would like to see some 'baby' pics. I volunteer for a local dog rescue by taking pics of dogs/pups avail for adoption. This bunch was just tooooooo adorable!!!

My neighbor's cat Smokie caught a bird the other day, and dropped the bird when I grabbed hold of her. The bird wasn't moving at first. I touched the bird's tail, and the bird flew off . The cat wasn't very happy about losing the bird.

We went back to the dog park today. That was nice because Lily gets to run which she loves. But it was windy and cold so we didn't stay as long as I might have liked.

True- the down side is they may be wide open and breezy, and the owners are standing still or sitting, and get chilled in chilly weather.

No shade for the hot summer but I don't see how they could have put it near the trees. Still, it is very nice and I am not complaining.

We hiked today and saw several dogs on the hike, of various sizes. I was surprised to see them, don't recall seeing dogs much in parks like that before. One even wore 'saddlebags', I suppose he carried his own water.

I would think the dogs really love the hiking. My dog always wants to go for walks.

I had forgotten how into EVERYTHING puppies can be. Their curiosity knows no limits LOL

For a while I could only see River's tail end as he was sniffing out something underneath this beautyberry bush - probably frickin voles...

I hope he can scare the voles away without accidentally destroying everything else in his path!
