Hi,
I noticed today that "Mezmerizer" was not in the database. So, I tried to add it, but I really don't have most of the info asked for. Plus, I would like to send a photo as well, but can't see where to do that. I am a rank beginner, of course. I love iris, but I have no interest in breeding, so I don't care about parentage and such. I have no idea who bred Mezmerizer.

Here it is:

Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Mesmerizer')

To add a photo, click on "Upload a photo" over on the left hand side of that page. I look forward to seeing it!

The left hand side of what page? I don't have that option on any of the pages I have been on with this. Looks like it was rejected anyway, because I don't have all of the information.

Bonnie, click on the link that Dave provided for you. You will see the entry for Mesmerizer. On the left hand side of the page is a column with activity selections. You should see one that says Upload Photo. Click on it, then follow the steps.
It’s okay to not know all the answers.

You're misspelling Mesmerizer. I declined your new plant proposal, because the plant is already in the database, and I gave you a link to the correctly spelled entry. Dave also gave you the link in this thread:

Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Mesmerizer')

Go to the link, scroll down, and click on "Upload a photo."

TiaLee: Yes, just click here: Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Mesmerizer') and you should see a section with a white box over the left side of that page that says Adding Actions. The first item says Upload a Photo. Click there and you can upload your picture or you can also scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and there will be a section that also says Adding Actions and you can click on Upload a photo there. *Blush* I must admit that I never realized there was a section on the left of the page ... I've always scrolled to the bottom to upload my pictures. Smiling

Look forward to seeing your picture!

Thanks everyone! I am an idiot. Yes, I spelled it wrong and everything went off of the rails after that.
You guys are very patient. I appreciate that.

TiaLee, you are not an idiot ... many of us have misspelling *hiccups* once in awhile. I was really good at spelling when I was young but not so much anymore, especially when it comes to plant names because some cultivars are spelled really weird! I would bet that there is a nursery somewhere with that plant spelled as Mezmerizer! Green Grin!

Bonnie -- this definitely does not make you an idiot -- the database can be a little finicky at times and it can be difficult to find the right entry no matter what, and different sources actually spell plant names differently as well, so that you're looking under the wrong spelling. Don't be afraid to ask for help -- for the database, there is a "plant database" forum as well. My motto is, if all else fails, ask Zuzu Big Grin
