Very nice Greg. Love the yellow color of Phedimus takesimensis 'Gold Carpet', and great container in the last photo.

@gg5: The little ones down by the rock? Do you know what they are called? I just happened across some that looked just like that today (and came home with clippings!). The leaves look like pachyclados leaves, but the way they position themselves on the stem doesn't look at all like my pachyclados, or my pachyclados 'white diamond'.

Gleni, I think you have Sedum rubrotinctum aka Pork 'N Beans

ofm, I think Greg was referring to the Sedum pachyclados I had sent him (?) but not sure of which cultivar.

@Gleni you are so lucky to live where that can be outside year round!!! I love the tender succulents! I tip my hat to you.
OFM - Bev sent me this plant and it had a label of s pachyclados and then some name but it is a NOID (if I remember correctly - very possible that I'm mis-remembering!) I always thought pachyclados was larger, this one is pretty small.
Cheers I tip my hat to you.

Am wondering if there is different cultivars within Sedum pachyclados? OFM mentioned a "White Diamond" and the mislabel was one of "Ron Evans", etc.?

Greg, that is Rhodiola pachyclados (Sedum pachyclados) in that container. It is just stressed. Once it gets established is is pretty drought tolerant and will form and most beautiful tight bun if given the room to grow. It is well worth growing.

I am not sure what makes the difference between the above plant and Rholiola pachyclados 'White Diamonds'? I haven't seen this one in bloom.

Lynn - the leaves on mine are 1/2 inch at largest, which is why I think it is a cultivar...I feel like R pachyclados is larger leafed) I tip my hat to you.

Growing conditions are what determine the size of the leaf. I will try to go out and get a photo of my plant. I moved it last year to a much different location. It is not near as happy, so the leaves are much smaller. The leaves also tend to become smaller in the heat of summer, especially if they get minimal water.

Thanks Lynn - good to know!! I may move this one out of the pot - although the soil is new (from this spring) but maybe it wants more room! I tip my hat to you.

Not sure how much sun it is getting? When mine was in full sun it was at it's most beautiful, but I did water it regular.

Hmm. My white diamonds look pretty much as the photo you've got there, maybe a little more "spawly". My unlabeled (or lacking a cultivar label?) "plain" pachyclados seem to have a much clumpier, slower growing pattern. Could just be positioning/soil/sun/the usual, but they came labeled differently - although the tags were from different sources. Neither of them have ever had stalks that stretch for as long without leaves as the one in Greg's photo or the plant I found the other day. I'll try and get some pictures if it's clear out after work.
