I eventually got out today and was amazed to see the new spring beauty coming out of the awful weather we have had!
So taking some pictures, I wish to share them with you, for they really cheered me up!
At last we hope the snow may have gone.

I am fighting a little case of envy here, we still have snow , but the sun did shine today, and I see some bare ground.

My friend gave me some pictures and his permission to use them of his 1702 cottage in Oxfordshire!
So I have put them on the "Have Your Say"' forum.
I love the English Quince trees outside; quince jelly, and jam, chutney, the list is endless to this sadly underused, and now getting much rarer fruit!

Dear gardengus, if there was anyway on the internet I could send you some spring weather and a warming bowl of your favourite soup over, i would!
Unfortunately, technology has not got that advanced yet!
Or I would be making scones and meringues for Sharon all day long, not that I would mind.
However Strawberries in February, sorry Sharon cannot help on that one!

Those seed pods....wisteria??
Hyacinth bean vine...no, they're black, plus they are a vine anyway.
Don't know for sure Neil, I'd have to see the shape and the branch or twig I think.

They look like seed pods on a redbud tree to me.

One of my redbuds from last spring.

I thought of that too, GG, but my redbud pods are very dark, almost black.

Thought I had a photo of the pods, but not.

I was looking at the branches behind the pods, and the way the pods attached.

Maybe so...
And maybe Neil will tell us.
