@Zuzu

The pic in the db, , is not the color of Verorica 'Eveline'.

I don't know which Veronica it belongs to, but it's not a rich rosy purple, as it should be.

I used to grow this variety and every pic I've seen is a rich rosy purple, as it states in the db.

That photo does look very blue.
Shrug! Maybe there are more colors available with the name Eveline? Or perhaps the color doesn't show true in the photograph?

http://www.google.com/patents/... says that the flower color is 'violet'.

http://www.google.com/patents/... this one is pink.

Sure it a beautiful plant. I only have two types of Veronica but want to add more.

Maybe this is a case of a digital camera picking up more blue and less red. I sometimes have that problem with my camera. That is why I like to see a written description along with the photo.

When the photographer added this image to ATP the caption read: "Wasn't expecting this color! ?

Just came across this thread. I took the photo with an iphone as are all of the HamiltonSquare photos. The label could well be wrong. It is an 'in the shade photo' and in the sun there is a more noticable violet hue. It is definately at the bluer end. I did search the web to see if there are other examples that resemble this particular 'color' and there are. So I'll submit another 'full sun' photo of this same plant to compare. The db flower color description says mauve but should, according to the patent information, shoud read 'violet'. I wrote in the caption that I wasn't expctiong this color because the db says mauve and some of the photos are of mauve colored flowers.

Here is the same plant in the sun. Same iPhone. The photos both look just the same, color wise, to the naked eye.
