Springcolor, do you use keyboard shortcuts? If you still want to logout, you could use a keyboard shortcut to quickly get to the bottom of the ATP page. I have a Mac, so my shortcut will be different than a PC with Windows... A Google search found this web page that gives a simple explanation. Under the Internet section, it says your "end" key should take you to the bottom. Whatever web browser you use may have an additional shortcut to get to the bottom of the window.

Julia and Margaret: If you feel you must log out at the end of the day (I think it is a habit with some folks) - just hit the "command" button (it's a cloverleaf kinda looking symbol on my keypad and also has the word command) and the "down" (arrow) button ... and it shoots you quickly to the bottom of the page where you can log out.

I have never logged out of ATP. When I got a new computer, I had to log in b/c my new computer was not recognized. I see no reason to log out. Even if a burglar broke in, what would they gain by having access to ATP???? I don't have any financial info. on ATP, you can't buy things on ATP, (unless you use acorns ) so why log out?

BTW, @dave you mentioned banking sites logging you out if you stayed logged in overnight or such. My bank logs me out automatically if I'm static on it for a few minutes. I've been on the site & got interrupted by something -- a phone call, something on the stove, etc... & come back & have to log in & start all over again. I like that, it protects me. I know a lot of people are worried about security on banking sites --- you should check to see how long before your banking site logs you out automatically.

My banking sites also log me out automatically after a few minutes if I suddenly become inactive.

Except for my own Tree-mail, anyone with Internet access can read anything I post on ATP.

I might have worried that my DSO might "check up on me", but the truth is more like she runs away rapidly when I start telling Yet Another Gardening Story.

I don't deliberately log out either but presumably another option to make the log-out easier would be to add it to one's custom menu bar, as was kindly pointed out to me by woofie for the BBCodes?

I do not save history, so whenever I close my browser it logs me out of all sites.

@rickcorey -- probably as long as you aren't pollinating with anyone...
