The yellow bloomed one is interesting. Don't know that I have seen that color on tall sedum before.
And look at all that new growth on Winky, coming up from the ground.

Autumn Joy is pretty too, such a nice pink and has good structure. It thought I got a picture of one of mine.

Beautiful Julia, it is glowing.

I found a photo of my S. 'Autumn Joy'. I have had it for years and it just stays strong and beautiful.

Sad I wonder if it needs a different soil? And maybe more sun? How long have you had 'Ringmore Ruby'? Maybe it needs another year to make a larger clump? I've had some that took a couple of years to make a presentable clump.

How much sun is it getting? And how long have you had it?

Its been there about 2 years. Gets sun from about 1 to 5 or 6. It's that hot sun I think that's giving it trouble?

These look so good! I can't wait to see how much are at about this time next year...planted so much this summer, hopefully most of it fluffs out nicely.

So far, my favorite of my semi-uprights is the Lynda Windsor:
Thumb of 2014-09-08/ofm/45e344

I've found it really hard to photograph the colors correctly - to my eyes it appears much darker (purplish) than it does in that photo. I finally found a few more to plant elsewhere and I'm hoping they'll attain a similar shade.

For fully uprights, I have high hopes for spectabilis 'Red Cauli' - some of the pictures online of their flowers are so vivid! Nothing like that on mine yet.

OFM I love the dark leafed ones!! Thumbs up (all of mine are semi- upright Rolling on the floor laughing ) or smaller than the tall upright...that's why I've planted them all in window box planters, so they can flop over and still be noticed! Hilarious! I tip my hat to you.

I find the dark leaved plants hard to photograph, seems like the light reflects of them, even on a cloudy day.

Some of my other semi-uprights are starting to flop... it seems completely random (1 of of 3 of the same batch, for example), so I'm trying not to take it too personally nodding .

Yes! Yet another level of plant fascination/mystery. Usually I'm so rushed with my pic taking (I'll often do it after dinner while the kids are *supposed* to be cleaning up Rolling on the floor laughing ) that I don't have any time to muck with the camera. But one of these days!

I also have trouble getting photos of the true colors of the dark leafed sedum Once in a blue moon I happen to get a photo that shows what I see.

Ofm, I think 'Red Cauli' is somewhat of a semi-upright. It seems to have an arching form to the stems.
It also seems that the more sun they get, the straighter the stems stand up. Of course they will need more water in full sun, but not to much. Otherwise they seem to have a problem with staying healthy if they get too much water.
I like your Linda Windsor. Has it bloomed for you yet?

So many different and interesting varieties! The only one I have is Autumn Joy, but I love it because it is so attractive to the bumblebees and Monarch butterflies... and also that it is impossible to kill, as far as I can tell! Big Grin

Definitely impossible to kill, even for me! I reduced a big clump of Autumn Joy last fall and I swear it came back just as big this year.
