Grape Hyacinth was the very first plant I learned about when I was a young child.
Thanks to this list I now know there are more varieties, including a yellow one, wow.
Thanks a bunch!

Muscari bulbs are a winter dream! The "hair" which is actually the leaves, make the pots have a winter purpose! Filled with outreaching "hair" and eventually blooming spikes appear! For several years I did not know what this plant was! I kept saying to friends, I have to find out what this "hair" plant is! They are one of my favorites because they always put on a performance when other bulbs and plants are asleep for the winter. Who would not like the early splash of color they provide as well. Such an easy, reliable, and fast multiplying bloomer! The white, pink, and yellow are on my list for next year! Thanks for sharing your first encounter, Greene.

They are one of my favorite "little bulbs" to throw into the hole as I'm filling in the soil after planting bigger bulbs like daffodils & tulips. Dig once, plant twice!!

For a VIctorian looking bloom, check out M. paradoxum. I've been adding a few more every year in my "woods" (OK, a double line of trees along the back of our yard) along with daffodils that look more "wild" to me (smaller blooms, not the big doubles or huge trumpets).
