@jmorth Hopefully you have read all my posts related to the topic. Because without doing so you may not be able to come to a proper understanding.

For a *moment*, I became angry with some of the responses to my thread. (Maybe not all people ever get angry ) It was at that point, I made the above post.

But, *also*, if there are others like me, then they would want to, and be concerned with Dave's feelings about the intent of the particular "Forum". Those people would create "Share Your Photos" in other Forums, and one could be created in *many* forums.

Or perhaps the response to my post could simply have been, "yes, it does appear that the dedication of this Forum has changed", and I would have immediately *dropped the subject*.

I will probably be cursed for this but here goes: Today's plan: Join a free Gardening forum. Try to get free lessons on photography. And if it does not go exactly the way I want I will complain endlessly. IMO, you have an attitude problem. There are many people here who would be willing to help you with your photography up to a point. Be thankful for that ! Gene

Teresa, I have not posted images in the share thread, so I have nothing invested but a few comments to friends. However I'm aware of the dilemma it poses in regards to the rules of the forum, so was initially a bit surprised to see it. Still I have always assumed the share thread would simply be locked or deleted if it was thought of as unsuitable.

It might be better to ask @Dave directly, than to allow this discussion to get emotional. If he doesn't respond here you could bring it up on the site talk forum, Teresa. I'm sure he will respond there.

I do believe that the thread was started to be able to share photos on a "photography" level as opposed to just sharing garden photos.

Teresa - posted a pix in another thread asking for help. I responded, someone else responded. Nothing from you. But you are still complaining?

I don't think he was, Ronnie. I think Gene was commenting on Teresa's post above, which was an explanation to jmorth.

I think at this point there needs to be a break in the discussion until @dave can comment on the "Share Your Photos" thread. I don't know his stance on it.

Way back when Goatdriver (?) first suggested a thread on sharing photos, I questioned it. He was only looking for yet another place to post his own photos and get compliments even thought they had nothing to do with gardening. I suggested that this forum was probably not the right place for his personal agenda. He since been banned. However, Share your pix is a very popular thread. I do enjoy it. I see no conflict having it run the way it is. Gene
