Thread OP

My father purchased this plant in the Brooklyn Terminal market about 35 years ago. He always had it growing in his garden. When I got married and moved to NJ, he gave me a cutting. This plant has been growing in the exact same spot for almost 24 years now. Every few years I dig it up and replenish the soil. And it just keeps on going.
I have purchased a lot of mums over the years ... but this is the only one in my garden that survived last year's awful winter.
A photo is attached. Any ideas as to its identity?

It is great that you keep the plant going on for so many years, and a very nice one at that. You might be better off posting this in the Plant ID forum.

This could be relatively easy to identify because it's a spooned chrysanthemum and I don't think there are a million of those. It looks a lot like Happy Face. We don't have photos of it in our database, unfortunately, but here's the entry on the Bluestone Perennials site.
