My father purchased this plant in the Brooklyn Terminal market about 35 years ago. He always had it growing in his garden. When I got married and moved to NJ, he gave me a cutting. This plant has been growing in the exact same spot for almost 24 years now. Every few years I dig it up and replenish the soil. And it just keeps on going.
I have purchased a lot of mums over the years ... but this is the only one in my garden that survived last year's awful winter.
A photo is attached. Any ideas as to its identity?
