And British Columbia and Yukon, I hope. I'd love to see members from there in this forum, not to mention members from anywhere that are interested in the Pacific coastal regions.

I'm preparing to be knocked over by photos of blue poppies. This might be the only place we'll see them until we have a Bhutanese regional gardening forum.

is this for any part of the state or just along the coast?

And even if it doesn't. Our Nevada friends always check into the various California forums and cubits and even come to the California roundups.

I just realized that "our Nevada friends" live in Arizona. Never mind.

I'm always jealous f the moist air on the PC...and the GREEN! Just checking in to see your new forum but mostly wanted to tell Sherry something totally off topic.

I visited Fallbrook in the mid 80's and had breakfast at a place called Granny's (I think). They made cinnamon coffee that was fantastic. The aroma greeted you when you entered the space! I wanted to purchase some and the waitress told me that they used some regular restaurant brand but added cinnamon on top. To this day, I make my coffee the same way and can't see Fallbrook without that fond memory! does this restaurant still exist?

First, Boo, I'm surprised you've been here..lol...it's not exactly on the way to anywhere else. We've been here for 29-30 years now and I don't remember ever a 'Granny's', but I will ask around.I'll e-mail my friend, Nancy, who's on the road right now and ask her, she's been here that long also. I think of Betty's, but I don't know if it here that long ago, the Wayside cafe, Main Street Cafe. I know what you mean about certain tastes, smells. I fondly remember the tea from the 70's that was very cinnamon-y. I loved it and then it disappeared. As I recall, it was decided that the cinnamon oil was not so good to be adding to tea.

Now I'll have to try adding a bit of cinnamon to my coffee...soon as I finish my V-8 juice..

I'm here! (Let's just pretend I live in BC k?) I like that this is one big forum that includes so many states/provinces. It's gonna be alot easier to oogle in one place

Okay, Boo.......Granny's was Granny's before it became The Elder House. I'll go take a pic today and post it. We used to go to The Elder House for brunch quite often when my folks came to visit...lovely Champagne Brunch on Sundays. Funny that I don't remember it ever being Granny's. It's a wonderful old house that became a Montessori school after the Elder finally closed and now it's the newspaper offices.

I wish so many things didn'tpass...sigh.

Thanks for checking for me! If I remember correctly, it had wooden floors. But I used to travel A LOT and my mind may be remembering something else.

I remember AVOCADO groves too........heaven!
