When I post a Multi-plant photo it sometimes includes a plant or plants that I need to use the generic listing for a number as I don't know the cultivar. Some generics have an ID number...an example is Chrysanthemum which has a number. Pelargonium has a generic entry but no ID number. Do I need to be concerned about this?
Thumb of 2014-10-15/Paul2032/a8a03b This is example that I would like to post.

The pelargonium generic entry does have an ID number. It's 78182. See it on the left-hand side?

It's right above "Add this plant to your list."

I see "Add this plant to your list." That's in a blue bar, but the plant id number is not showing above it. That's really weird! I don't know how to do a screen capture or I'd upload it. If it matters, I'm getting to that data by clicking on the database entry you put in the first reply to Paul.

I don't see a number either but maybe it's because it's already in my list?

Paul, over on the left where you see that black and white box ... does it tell you that you already have the plant in your list?

It's present in two places on my screen. In the spot on the left that I mentioned before, and at the very bottom of the page. Scroll down all the way past the photos, comments, and related threads to the "Actions" box (Adding Actions & Editing Actions). Is the plant ID number shown at the bottom of that box?

Paul, I just looked at your profile page and you don't have a plant list. I'll be curious to hear why some see the plant number for Pelargonium and others (me included) don't. Green Grin!

Confused I've again looked all over this page Pelargoniums (Pelargonium) and still don't find a plant number.

I have a feeling it might be visible only to admins. @dave can fix this, I'm sure.

I don't see it either. I tested several other parent plants and I don't see the ID number on any of those except for Lilies, which I moderate.
