I was cleaning up my plant in preparation for moving it indoors in a couple of weeks and banged it against a door, severing the top of a branch. The piece that I cut off is only 5-6 inches long. The plant is blooming now, fortunately not on that branch. In a few weeks I will remove all leaves and winter it over dormant. I know the timing is not good, but is it possible to root a cutting that short and at this late date?
Thanks, Alana

I would put coarse perlite in a small pail and just stick that small branch into the perlite. Keep it where the temperature stays around 40 F or above and keep it and the perlite dry. It may or may not root. It is really too late in the year, particularly where you are, to root plumeria.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.

I agree but you have nothing to lose. The only other thing I could suggest is try to graft it back on to the plant where it broke. That sometimes works.

Thank you both. I think I will try rooting it. As you say, nothing to lose.
