For your information, it's relying on your screen resolution to give different experiences. From your screenshot, it looks like you have tablet resolution there. If you increase your screen resolution to the typical desktop res, it'll show up more like what you've been traditionally seeing.

Regular monitors are usually at 1024x768 (minimum) and widescreen monitors are usually 1366x768.
