I can understand Greg's viewpoint as he is a working man with a family and his time is limited. However, for us retired people that have the time and form a bond with our sites and the people on them..... or for those folks who still work whether retired or not and who just cannot get enough iris talk..... for those of us who want to hear a little personal chat to humanize a site... and also.... I like the differences in the sites. Even when I do not have anything to say, which is most of the time even though I keep posting, I love to read others iris news, learn about how to grow/treat/make irises and dream over the iris photos. Long live both ATP and Cubits!

I use both sites. A bit of iris on cubits, but there are other sites which I use on cubits.

I think both sites serve a purpose for lots of different people. I joined Cubits first as I found it first, then later learned about ATP. I visit both on a regular basis, and enjoy the dialogue and people on both. There are some that don't visit Cubits on ATP, and there are some on Cubits that don't visit on ATP, and many that go to both. I'd hate to see either one end. Smiling

I find Crazy for You very interesting too! And love the Forget me Nots around it- nice how it accents the blue cast in the standards. Boudoir is my favorite of the last pics, love bicolors with pink!

Neal, I don't know how to post the database photo...but you should check out Bowled Over. It was absolutely gorgeous this past spring at Superstition Gardens. Mary Ann I think you liked the pinks too. Smiling

Just looked it up, it is a beauty! Found this thread on bicolors with pink:

The thread "Favorite Pink/Lavender, Pink/Purple and Pink/Burgundy Bicolors" in Irises forum

I added Florentine Silk this summer, and looking forward to seeing it in person Smiling

I love all of those, especially Fashionista and Silk Run.

Lately I've been also drawn to pastels with deeper color in the center like Queen of Elegance and Christmas Present, qualities in a couple I added this summer, Jordan's Joy and Mohr Pretender.

Some of those are kind of like a 'reverse luminata', the contrast of color draws the attention into the center of the flower. Very pretty. I especially like the ruffles and subtle color on Christmas Present!
