That's Swazi with a *z* Greg. That's the Iris that I bought in 1977 (along with five others -- my very first ordered Irises), moved with me from Chicago to Kentucky in 1985 -- and lost last winter with the freakin' freeze/thaw weather -- followed by the monsoons of spring. I'm still trying to find someone that I sent increases to, who can restore *my* Swazi Princess. Sad

I love all the companion plants in the pics. And Swazi is a beauty. No wonder you want yours back Mary Ann!

Mary Ann, that's terrible that you lost Swazi Princess after so long! Several Lilies were done for this year early on because of the late freezes, but I didn't lose any Irises....that I'm aware of. In what part of the state do you live?

Leslie, the companion plants in so many shots have impressed me too. Those Myosotis are wonderful! That's a flowering quince in your avatar pic isn't it? Do you know the variety name? I just planted one called Orange Storm, and remember seeing a Red Storm as well.

You are correct Neal - it is flowering quince. It has been growing around my crepe myrtle for longer than I have owned the house, so I can't tell you the variety. It does produce a few quince every year, but not enough to do much with them.
