I still don't know what that name refers to, Sandi. Sighing!

OK, got it. We can't have anything like that in our state. The wine/liquor is wholesaled by a state agency and there are tons of restrictions placed on wine/liquor stores here.

What is this "sun" you speak of? I would like to try a sample, please. I think I might like it.

Careful what you wish for! I got burned pretty good today working in the sun. I should have put on some coconut oil this morning. Worked up an excellent sweat today. We now need a thread that says "Something hot coming this way" Green Grin! I am not complaining though. Spring in Texas is so bitter sweet because it only lasts two weeks before it is a hundred degrees Rolling my eyes. Take advantage of the shady skies doing gardening chores while you can.

The big orb in the sky is back! Weeding today. My kittens wanted to play and get petted, play and get petted, etc. At this rate, I might get all the weeds pulled by next fall! This is Tammy, one of three kittens.

Aww.. Tammy looks like a good garden helper. I was pulling out some black bamboo the other day looking to find the off shoots. I was sweeping at the decomposed granite with my gloves and one of my kitties starting digging too, wondering what all the fuss was about. He got bored pretty fast though and just flopped down where I was working to be pet. He is not the best helper, but always adds some whimsy to the chores.

@drdawg I always thought that wine in MS came in mason jars. That's the way my cousin would give it to me when we were visiting there.

Think I am going to have to get some extra Ben-gay. Sun, the load of plants and trees I bought at our Master Gardener sale yesterday and the 20 wintersowing jugs I've had growing .... it's going to be a busy week (I hope). They can move the rain chances they have on Wednesday to the next week and it will be ok with me.

Oh one of the plants I got was a Eucalyptis Silver Dollar. Anyone grown that in zone 8b or 9a?

I do grow a Eucalyptus that was given to me from California. It looks like the pictures of Silver Dollar, but I do not actually know which it is.

White lightening comes in mason jars here. We don't produce any wine that way and what is produced is based on the muscadine grape and is pretty bad. I guess those making it in their home could put it in a mason jar. Buyer, beware! Whistling

Nine days and the paperwhites are not falling over yet. I think the gin may have actually kept them shorter and upright. Not too fond of the scent in the house, though!

We're expecting a gully washer this evening, if not sooner. I'm still trying to plant some large salvias I bought last week before the rain comes.

How do you suppose university researchers - probably graduate students - stumbled upon this discovery?
