Neo 10.
other two were 12. Which was her highest price. There were many smaller broms for much lower prices.
They are very healthy nice sized plants, if I had more money to spend I would have had the whole back of my Jeep filled. Her Cryptanthus were two to four dollars, all in 4-5 inch pots....some of them came home with me too. Sticking tongue out

Crypt 'Pink Floyd' ...mother and three offsets in this pot

Crypt 'Calypso'

'Tiger lily'

Cryptanthus fosterianus 'Frosted Red'

Wow ... you really hit the jackpot with some amazing plants! Did you purchase them from a local nursery or on-line? Great prices so I'm thinking it wasn't an on-line place.

I submitted proposals to add Pink Floyd, Calypso and Tiger Lily to the database. I couldn't find information on a cultivar named Frosted Red.

Thanks Lin, I added some photos. I bought the plants at a local annual plant sale, Meade Gardens Winter Park.

I was looking for some information on fungal diseases in Broms and came across this site:
http://www.fcbs.org/index.html They didn't have the info I needed but they had lots of other good stuff.

Anyone have a good fungicide for broms? I have learned they cannot tolerate anything that has copper in it. I have these ugly spots on two neos. I suspect it is cultural, they were really dry and stuck in the dark garage while we were evacuated for the hurricane. Didn't really have time to fuss over them when we got back and they stayed dry for too long, leaving them vulnerable to disease.

I'd try sprinkling with cinnamon.

Looks like Helminthosporium Leaf Spot, and a good fungicide that contains no copper will take care of the problem.

Alice, orchids don't like copper fungicide either, so I've been using Thiophanate Methyl on mine this summer.

It's available under a whole bunch of brands, some are horribly expensive like Cleary's but the Southern Ag. version I have is fairly reasonable. It's called Thio-Myl.

Thanks, I am going to Jacksonville tomorrow, I'll try and see if I can find any down there. Lowe's here has cleaned out the garden dept. for Christmas stuff and our nurseries are too small to carry any variety of chemicals.

I received my Neoregelia 'Violet Rose Fireball' from @Ardisia/Alice last week. Thank you Alice for offering this beauty for postage! Lovey dubby

Whereas 'Fireball' has short, broad leaves, this one seems to have longer, narrower leaves like it's parent, N. princeps. Neoregelia 'Violet Rose Fireball' (N. 'Fireball' x N. princeps)

I had an old, rusty metal planter in the garage; it has a flat back so that it can rest against a wall and I decided to use it for Bromeliads and hang it in my atrium.

Back left unknown Neoregelia (at one time it had a name but I don't remember what it was) a small 'Fireball' is at the bottom left, Back right is a Viresea splendens and front right is 'Violet Rose Fireball':

I agree I've fallen in love with Broms but they aren't cheap to buy. I've been fortunate to get some good ones for great prices from @DrDawg. My collection is slowly growing! Hurray!

I love them too ... as long as they don't have awful thorns! I've been drooling off and on at some of the beauties shown here http://www.bromeliad.com/ especially the Neo's: http://www.bromeliad.com/brome...

If I lived on the west coast of Fla. near Englewood where they are located I'd be in big trouble if they were open to the public!
