Wow, wow, wow !! Loving the photos in this thread... I believe I must go out for a little walk with the camera tomorrow! (while our temperatures are at least around, if not slightly above, freezing...) Heaven knows there are plenty of things around here that have come around to pretty much the end of the circle Whistling

Kyla, are you sure the trees in those last photos are dead? The tiny little twigs on the ends of the branches make me think they aren't. Usually once a tree is Dead (with a capital "D" Hilarious! ) those will be gone and just larger ones left.

And Neil, this was a LONG way back in the thread, but how awesome about that Witch Hazel ! Thanks for sharing that with us Thumbs up

Actually... no, you are probably correct, and they are not really dead, although that final one may be real close.

My little brugmansia was late blooming this year... Sighing! and got whacked by the first freeze. But on the upside, I think the aftermath is interesting, shadows, plant and floating focus caught my eye.

In the spirit of 'tree bones' my brother took this picture, so I wanted to give him credit. We had some sea fog this morning, and a really muggy day.

I wanted to apologize to all those posting and reading this thread for misunderstanding it's purpose. However embarrassing it is, I did believe Asa started it under the Photography heading and that she was meaning to discuss "Everything Else" having to do with photography. That's exactly why I contributed what I did and why I remained in the dark...

I admit I've been under tremendous stress lately and apparently haven't been thinking clearly. Lake of sleep only contributes to already muddled emotions. Please forgive me if I've been unkind as that's not my usual self at all. I come to ATP to take my mind off things and very much enjoy the many venues that Dave and his team have set up. It's a great place to unwind and I apologize to all of you for my misunderstandings.

I sincerely hope you'll find it in your hearts to forgive me.

Thanks,

Sheila

No worries Sheila! It happens to me as well! Glad you came back. Posting on the internet can be hard because often tone of voice is missing.

Take care!

Yes, what Jennifer said is exactly right. There are times at work when I make a point to see someone in person instead of email because I don't want something to be misconstrued. We don't have that luxury here. Group hug

I agree with Jennifer & Vickie. Sheila, don't think another thought about it. Stress does BAD things to us & I know from personal experience how whacky one can get when operating under tremendous stress.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

I agree

Sheila, since you haven't been on ATP all that long, you may feel a bit on the "outside," but truly this is a very friendly group of people... and, as I have found in "real life," we may sometimes say things that a person we don't know all that well misinterprets. Believe me when I say you are wanted and appreciated here... please don't let this add to your stress, and when you read a post try to read it from the aspect that the intention was positive.

Wishing you -- and all my ATP friends -- a very happy Thanksgiving day, however you spend it! Group hug
