Mom loved the French language so would call them lavender baguette. Baguette means wand or stick. : )
She fell completely in love with my DIL, who speaks French. They would have conversations and sing little French songs together. They would sit together and listen to the songs of Édith Piaf.
Loved the pictures, Lynn! Loved the memories, too.
J'adore Edith Piaf aussi.
Et baguettes.
Et la Francais.
(But my computer doesn't have the little curly cidilla (?) that goes under the c in Francais to soften it.)
Thank you Sandi. I love the memories I have of my mom. : )
Sharon I did not learn to speak french. I may know a few words here and there. My DIL even tried to teach me, that and Arabic. I'm doing good to know a little English.
Yes, I did learn to love Edith Piaf also. : )
I have never had a desire to go to France. My DIL wants to take me. Not so much. I did love Lebanon though.
Oh... sorry, Sharon! I forgot you had a Mac. You still should be able to get the cedilla, though... it comes with the fonts, not the computer. Hmm... aha!
