And I appreciate your trying. I think my computer isn't set up for some symbols because when I was trying to write in Japanese after the tsunami, I couldn't get it to "take".

If you tree mail him, he can tell you how he does it as I know he doesn't have a Mac...

I don't either ♫ hold down the alt button and hit 1 and 4 ♫ let up Alt andyou have a note . you can also hold down Alt key and hit ♪ 1 and 3 to get the other note♪. Hope this helps...♥ to get the heart alt and hit 3 ♥

If anyone knows how to find old posts over at Dave's Garden, Shoe posted ALL the characters, and how to create them using the Alt key, in the Dave's Garden forum on October 4, 2005.

I printed it out, so if someone wants to see it and can't find the post, I'd be able to scan it and send it to you. (but not until tomorrow. won't be home all day today.)

I'll give Shoe a holler and see if he has it stored somewhere on his computer.

Maybe he could go to the Sand Box and show us how to do it. But I think he uses a Mac. http://garden.org/forums/view/...

I use a PC and those showed up when I held Alt down and pushed each number.

Lynn, nope, no Mac here. I'm stuck on an ancient Windows OS (Win2K), very limiting and each day I bless it and pray over it to get one more hours worth of time before it does its daily crash.

ALT + 248 gives me the ° sign as does ALT + 167 - º
