I have seen some of the ads in my articles and they were garden related, it didn't bother me. As Dave & Trish said, it will take time for the ads to settle into a garden pattern and as long as they aren't offensive no harm is done. Smiling

I thought the ads were only supposed to be related to the site? so then wouldnt all the ads be about gardening, plants, tools etc? I dont understand how it all works but maybe there is a way to get gardening ads only on there. I sure wont be clicking any diet, aging, or pimple cream ads Whistling

Google will primarily show conent relavant ads. And as site grows, that will happen more and more as Google catches up.

We need to remember that the ads alone pay for this site, its owners, writers, and moderators! Hopefully, that will allow us a little leeway in how we feel about them Smiling

Trish you're up late! get some sleep! Smiling

I understand about the revenue generated from the ads. I guess my thought process is that if the ads were more towards gardening, more people would click on them, therefore generating more revenue for ATP Smiling

One thing I don't like about the ads. It's my own fault, though.

I saw these "flower squares" below the smileys and wondered if Dave had put some new feature in with clickable thumbnails (like, to ad a flower to our posts, like the smileys for instance). There's no actual advertising and no company name. I'm sure they do that on purpose.

Anyway, I took the bait. It's an ad for a nursery. Let the poster beware.

It's funny. For the first time in probably 30 yrs I typed the word "terrarium" here in a post to Boopaints. Yesterday on my FB page there was an ad for Making Terrariums Easy or some such. I feel like I'm being followed. Of course I am... but it's all part of the deal. I like the ads. Sometimes I glance at something of interest as I'm clicking away and am saddened to know I "can't go back". Gotta grab the ad of interest right then and there.

If you saw an ad on a certain page and it's not there now, just hit the refresh button. There are several ads in rotation. You have to refresh several times but it should come back around.
