I was looking for a clivia plant..so we headed to Alden Lane Nursery in Livermore.
Always fun to go to this nursery..the setting so peaceful and organized. Coming from 3 days of on and off rains, today with the sun up and temps just cool and comfy, it was so fun looking around first as I continue to search for my clivia plant.
Cyclamen season
Quite a pretty arrangment, looks very cheerful
Awww...this makes me miss my Dad..he loved roosters!
Love the purple laden branches of this plant
Garden decor..I love pig decor
Such a huge succulent! Agave americana
What a bright arrangement of lovely coleus plants..seems to be on a painted old bath tub:
Love all the flowers and some sedums on sale...they all look so cheerful!
This nursery is situated in a grove of centuries old oak trees...always impressed by its majestic growth:
Love how this live semi-fallen oak tree has been used as part of the fence around the bird house area:
I always get so side tracked...so did I get my Clivia plant? Yes I did! Thankful that they have a one gallon plant..so it came home with us and some cutesy garden decor..well..my hubby wants these whimsical meditating animals..
Tag says Clivia Solomone Hybrid Yellow - this will be my first attempt to grow this plant...fingers crossed!

Have you ever been to the Morris nursery in Riverbank? I stopped there one time as its close to where my son lives in Escalon, seemed nice too.
If you ever get up this way, I can show you all the best nurseries around here!

Oh would love to see Sebastopol! I am still trying to convince my hubby to go I keep pointing out to him on the plant tags..see this nursery is in Sebastopol we have to go there one of these days. He is slowly warming up to the idea..just a little more!
Yes, those old oak trees are just mesmerizing for me..like a nice grand living tree sculpture
Are those oaks Live Oaks? Or perhaps something similar? We have lots of grand ole Live Oaks in Mississippi, particularly along the Gulf Coast. Many of those that were hundreds of years old have been taken away by our all-too-frequent hurricanes though.
