Lost a clump of Montauk daisies & some ladybells....I hope that's it....the pole looks awful....extremely tall & wide....that's all you see when you look at the front of my house... Thumbs down The person who hit the pole may have been DUI...plus...no license!

That stinks Marilyn Grumbling Can you plant a vine of some sort on it to help camouflage it?

I don't think so....it's pressure-treated wood....the height really worries me....I'm on top of a hill.... . the pole is a lovely lightning target....I'll try to get clematis to grow on the guide wire...maybe that'll improve the neon yellow paint they have on it now......

At the old place they put a yellow plastic sleeve on the guy wires .. coral honeysuckle fixed that.. Randy's mom dug her azaleas and gave them to us .. Randy was kind enough to dig the grass out of this bed for me

I've seen the poles with the yellow covers Thumbs down When we were n our other house we had a fire hydrant right in front and I hated it. I wanted to paint it black but found out I wasn't allowed. I covered it with a morning glory. I did it again the following summer but someone pulled it out, never knew if a neighbor did or the city Shrug! There is a pole behind us but not in my yard, there was a tree in front of it for years and the neighbors had to have it cut down, looks kind of crappy now but at least it's brown Thumbs up

Deck is almost down and hopefully the milkweeds and tomatoes will be planted on Friday. Next year I'll try for more veggies and maybe a peach tree. We are going to cover the dirt in plastic in the fall to get rid of the last of the grass and weeds I can't pull.

OK....she only goes into the front yard on a leash, & I won't let her jump into the bed...it's raised with a rock wall around it....she loves the rock wall....lots of chippies & snakes to sniff out....I hate it it when it's dark out & she begins sniffing in the grass....I'm always afraid there will be a snake crawling around!

Enjoys or suffers cold winters
daylily 'pumpkin time' is in bloom. One flower last year in the drought. This year with the rain quite a few stems are appearing. it was hybridized by a friend in the '70s & will flower through Sept.
