That's what I do too. Some years I wash them all off with the hose but not always if there are too many, it was one of those years, so they just came in with the granules mixed it Shrug!

Which regional gardening forum includes Indiana? I skimmed a few posts on the first page here, and did see Ohio, but maybe the cut-off is there? Shrug!

I think anyone is welcome to post anywhere. I certainly jump around the different forums, but Teresa, there is the Midwest forum and that might be a good fit.

The reason I was asking is because I'm trying to figure out where to *best* post (what forum?)

I am seriously considering hosting an end-of-June, or first-of-July, camp out gathering for members.

I won't go into every detail, but I don't have a lot of extra money to host. It would be like bring your own food, or eat at a restaurant down the hill, or in small town Delphi. But I would provide a grill. I own a duplex which was formerly one house. It's probably close to 100 years old, but good enough for me. I have the apartment which I used to rent out. It would be made available for sleepers and bathroom facilities for those who didn't care to stay in a tent. I would get the electric turned on prior to the adventure, so there would also be lights, refrigerator, and a shower if all could leave others alone to the bathroom. Lots more details could be given.

For those who just aren't campers in any form, there are rental guest houses in the small town of Delphi that could be pre-rented for the time.

I also have a gas grill that would be open to users, and with help there would be a fire at the burn pile (I'd just buy some wood for the occasion.)

People could begin arriving Saturday evening, then stay Sunday. Saturday is my Sabbath, so I wouldn't want arrival probably to be until any sooner than 4:00 or 5:00 pm. Sunday is a work day for me, but I'd take a vacation day. Monday I'd probably have to work (which is here where everyone would be), but if there were stragglers to leave later, that would be okay.

Why I checked here first is because I felt many people closer to Indiana may be more likely to make the trip. All would be invited, from wherever, but of course that takes a vacation and more money.

So let me know, please, where you think it might be good to post such a post to find out what interest there might be?

Thanks!
