Ok, I'm changing course. Let's look at Roger Duncan's introductions. He only has 8 introductions; but more than makes up for that small number with so FANTASTIC specimens. I only have one of the eight, and I got it this Summer. Actually, it is quite possible I don't have any since I got this from a local member of my iris society who retired to Florida and some of the plant markers were moved around by the help. So I will need to wait to bloom time to see for sure. So what do I have?

Hollywood Nights

I had a chance this Summer to also collect "All Night Long", but it did not make the cut. Maybe I mess up on that?

My favorite one is "Fantasy Ride". This iris just JUMPS out at me and I MUST HAVE IT!

This followed closely by "Go West"

Then "Arctic Burst"

And "Brainstorm"

The last one is "One More Night"

Ok, that is only 7! (just making sure you were paying attention). Forgive me, but I don't like the last one. Maybe it's the picture we have in the database. I don't know. It is called "Shakedown".

I am going to add a bunch of these. AWESOME Blinking

I was gifted Go West from Superstition Iris Gardens, and from the photo, I'm thinking I will really like it. If Superstition happens to offer SuperHero this year, I may order it and Brainstorm, as I think Brainstorm looks super cool too.

I have 3 of Roger's irises. They are all new this year so I'm looking forward to seeing them bloom next spring!
Arctic Burst
Fantasy Ride
Go West

I keep meaning to add Hollywood Nights, maybe next year...and am thinking about adding either All Night Long or One More Night. Maybe if they are both in bloom this spring that might help me decide between them.

Well Debra, we will have to do something about that!! I don't know if any of mine will multiply enough the first year...but if you want any of the three I have, when they increase I'd love to share some with you! Smiling

Arctic Burst has "Goldkist" as a parent. I am going to try and us it and see what comes. Can't wait to see what else is coming down the pike.

I don't have any of Roger's, either, although I have several of Rick's. I buy from Superstition, but mostly the ones I get are the Historics.

I'd be happy to share with you too Arlyn if there are any you want (since you mostly collect to older varieties I don't know if you like the ones I have) ...now I just need to keep them happy so they grow well and make lots of increases! Big Grin

Absolutely...that's part of the fun of being in this group. I just have some catching up to do in order to be able to send some rhizomes out to others. I haven't been growing them long enough to have clumps that need thinning!

I'd love to...but I don't think Rick and Roger would appreciate that. They might not let me come back and enjoy their blooms next spring! Just give me a year or two and I should be ok...not up the standards of some of you in this group Hilarious! ...but able to share back a respectable selection of newer irises!

Marilyn - I know how you feel, many of mine aren't increased enough for a true sharing box. Soon though, soon.

Greg are you going to cross Arctic Burst and Goldkist?

All Night Long (got it this year)
Arctic Burst (got it last year, but it died before before I got to see it bloom Sad )
Hollywood Nights (I got it this year, but gave it to someone else in an exchange for a very generous trade Smiling )
Go West (got it this year, thanks to someone doing something wonderful Smiling )

Marilyn and Leslie, I'm in that category of eagerly awaiting new growth to share.

Marilyn, keep in mind that for-postage is also an option if yours are not to the trading stage, yet. Smiling
