Rob you're such a Techno wizzard! I got One Step Beyond and Ice Planet as bonuses last year, now with seeing Brad's Pictures I'm eager to see them bloom. I have added Peach Pearl and Absolute Treasure to my want list. Really interesting color on Peach Pearl, it should look great paired with something darker.

Excellent photos, Brad. I am glad you took them in the sunlight. A lot of irises totally change their character when in bright sunlight like Peach Pearl. The sunlight shining through several layers of petals gives the heart of the bloom a rich glow...... captured in a moment in your photo.

I like to see photos in both shade and sun. I have a few that look like a totally different cultivar in different lighting. The warm golden tones also come alive in the sunlight. Beautiful! Thanks for posting.

So here's my list of Tasco's iris below. I had ordered Millenium Falcon from some catalogue, when it bloomed 2 years later it turned out to be Splashacata. What a star iris it turned out to be! I really want to get Solar Fire this year.

Aztec Prince Aril 2009
Dream Express 1999
Golden Panther 2000
Royal Storm 2001
Splashacata 1998
True Spirit 2004

Looking at the list--We had IB Midnight Ice bloom last year. White beards against the dark background is really nice.

Midnight Ice is a lot like the SDB Wish Upon A Star. It is also dark purple with a white/very light beard. Great contrast.

Then I don't need to look at Midnight Ice as I have Wish Upon A Star. Trying to keep from getting too many that are similar to each other. Big Grin

That's wise, Deb. You have limited space -- you want to get as great a variety as you possibly can. People with acres to fill can be less discriminating.

However as an IB it should come into bloom later the Wish Upon a Star.

Sometimes if I really like a cultivar, and there are others that look like it, I might be tempted to have one of each if they have different bloom times. Also I've put some in my micro climate to bloom earlier, and then another of it out away where it will bloom later. I also do that if I want to have a longer source of pollen for crossing. But I have space here.

Bonnie…. I'm glad you liked the picture of Peach Pearl what makes it special is it is a Glaciata and has great breeding potential there are too few of them being introduced especially with a color like that. The other one that caught my attention in there garden was the Orange one Molten Flame the color was Outstanding on it and full of ruffles. They had a seedling from Ben Hager they had been working on for some time that went into creating Molten Flame, the Seedling was the brightest Orange we have seen up close and personal it really did glow Big Grin

Wow! What a color! To say it glows is an understatement. No wonder they named it Molten flame!

Brad, I am assuming this is a photo of the seedling parent, correct me if I am wrong. Molten Flame is lovely but I have never seen it glow like the photo you posted. The midribs on Molten Flame seems to me to be darker than on this one. The photo you posted is an iris you could enjoy both from across a garden where it would beckon and also from very close up. Whichever one it is, Molten Flame or seedling parent, it is remarkable.

I should buy it, Lucy. I don't have enough orange irises and it is an outstanding orange iris.

Bonnie, do you want an Orange Harvest? It is a softer orange than the one above, but I think it is pretty. (Won't hurt my feelings if you'd rather not Smiling )
