I just looked at Joe Ghio's introductions. He has 854! OMG.
Of that number, 138 of the TB, BB, & IB are missing pictures. I did not count the PNC, LA, or Spur, but my guess is that at least 1/3 are missing pictures. Bummer!

I just posted in the other PCI thred that of the 1151 Pacific Coast entries in our database, we only have 29 with images. It's too bad that Joe Ghio doesn't have an online site with images! Need to hunt for some.
I use the ADS (American Dahlia Society) [a little off subject] for reference and have decided that I have some nice pictures they don't have so I printed the instructions on how to submit pictures to them. I use the ADS so often seems like the least I can do.
Is there such a database for Iris?? I am obviously not as heavily into iris (as they are problematic here except for Siberians) so don't know.
I do have seeds that were sent last year and am going to give that a try.
Sue there are a few of Joe's going back several years on the MBIS site.. maybe to 2007 or 08.. I've got catalogs going back to '98... Wish I'd kept the older ones now..... I can scan pictures, but they won't be the same quality..
The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact us.
MBIS did go back to 2004 the last time I checked. With Joe, it would be great if we could get the pictures sent somehow from Joe rather than grabing off the WWW.
The pictures are good to get an idea about Joe's intros for the years listed, they are no good for putting in the database. I have a tool at work where I could isolate each picture from the rest, but I am sure it would look very bad on our site (assuming Joe gave us permission to post them).
It would be better to get a CD or DVD loaded with his pictures and post from there. That way, we get what the hybridizer thinks is a really good picture of that cultivar, and with 854 we woul get a lot of them. Too hard to find them online and not very efficient.
Maybe someone who knows him could broach the subject.
