That's a picture of Breakers from many years ago. Taken with my old camera, but it got the color about right. My current camera makes it look more blue.

It's supposed to be a rebloomer, but it has never even tried here. Has anyone had it rebloom for them?

Well, if it doesn't rebloom there, it won't rebloom anywhere, I'm thinking. Maybe next year.

OK, now I am dreaming about iris sales! Went to one last night, and there were 1000's of them, but they were tiny little dried out things, wraped in plastic. I wondered how are they going to plant these now, it's winter. One guy had bought many of them, and I asked him if he was going to plant them in pots. He said no, he's plant them outside. I was getting frustrated as they didn't have anything that I wanted, or even recognized for that matter. Really strange dream! Rolling my eyes.

That was more like a nightmare, Tom. I have iris dreams too but they are usually because I have fallen asleep thinking about all the things I need to do in the iris beds and so I do my chores in my dreams.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?

My brother and I were doing our weekly grocery shopping at Walmart on Monday. Somewhere -- in a store filled with Christmas stuff -- he found three packaged Iris rhizomes: Breakers, Jurassic Park and one other. He couldn't resist them at a dollar each. They were pretty dried out -- but he's an optimist. I told him to soak the rhizomes in water and plant in pots. The rhizomes were firm -- so maybe...... Shrug!

More Schreiner irises at a box store! Rhizomes are tough, and if they survive he got three really nice iris for $3. Maybe not the three he expects if the labels are wrong but still 3 nice Schreiber iris. Smiling
Tom - that would have been a very frustrating nightmare!

I like it too. It sat and sulked in a big pot for 2 years then, FINALLY, put out 2 blooms. It's in the ground now and will do much better.
