House Finches and American Goldfinches on a feeder on a January morning

Love this one. the garden here is relatively bare of color as I weed it and the interest is in the birds. Today it was a Ruby Crowned Kinglet and a cadre of Crowned Sparrows that followed me around to clean out what I turned up for them.

Very pretty. Love the pretty birdies!

I know this is All Things Plants but an occasional bird or garden critter banner is fun! And this is a sweet shot!

And aren't the birds & garden critters part of the reason most of us garden? What is a garden that has no birds? What is a garden that has no butterflies? What is a garden that has no pollinators?

I took this pic years ago in my backyard on a cold day. I had it hanging from one of the feeder hooks/post. DH and I have been feeding the birds everyday since Dec. 2000. I've feeders as well as scatter mixed seed on the ground. The wild rabbits are welcomed to eat the seed. Of course the squirrels decide among themselves that they are welcomed everyday also.

It is such a joy to see and hear the birds singing everyday.

So exciting to see my banner(s)! This is my second one posted.

Being a bird lover, I love this banner.

Love the birds. I made a couple of banners with birds in my yard, but didn't submit them :). I had them in mind for the holiday season.
