I got a message that I received a thumbs up for an idea I posted from a member who I did not recognize. I was just curious if this was a new member or whatever so I clicked to see their profile. There is no member with that screen name. I typed the screen name in the search field on the member list & there is no member found by that name. Then I went to the tip the member had given me the thumbs up for & clicked to see the list of all who had given me thumbs ups for that and that members name was not there. ??????

I think the person may have changed his screen name shortly after giving you the thumbs up. I've seen that before.

That makes sense Zuzu and is something I had not considered. I just posted it thinking it might be a glitch Dave would want to check out.

There is such a member but I have no clue if it's the same person whom I spoke of. It doesn't truly matter. As I said, I thought there might be a glitch in the system that Dave would want to know about. Initially I was just curious about the member -- how long had they been a member, were they a newbie, such as that. No biggie.

Why not do the @ thing with his name and see if he responds?

You can see the entire list of received thumbs-up from your profile page. That way you can match them up to your system messages.

Yes, I'm pretty sure anytime you see something odd like that it is because they changed their username.

I didn't know we could change our username. Figured we were stuck with it. I should change mine so Dave can pronounce it when I win a raffle prize.

Only new members can change their username and they have to do it within a week of signup. It's there in case they made a mistake typing out their desired username when signing up.

Hetty, I can take the 1 off your username. Do you want me to do it?
