Enjoyed all your posted "H". I got HUWS this past spring. Got a few blooms on it. It is in a temporary spot. This one obviously need to be by the driveway where it can be enjoyed by everyone that come by.

I know I have more H's, @ShakespearesGarden (my mom) left me a TON of daylilies. Some of the ones she left aren't tagged, or at least they used to be. And the DLs that she tagged have extremely faded, some I already figured out what they read. I'm hoping the ones that need tagged are still on her NGA plant list, I may need to investigate.

EDIT: Oh, I also have 'Howdy' as well.
Not only people give others signs, but plants do too.

Mike, I think Heavenly United We Stand is just a superb daylily and if you have a spot near the driveway, that sounds like the perfect spot.

I had it for a few years and it was getting taller and making a nice clump. I made the mistake of letting my sister come over one day when I was not there and tag some daylilies that she would like to have. Well, she picked HUWS... who wouldn't if they saw it blooming in a garden! I debated about whether to let her have some of it, but I did. It did okay this year, but it was not as impressive as the year before. I look forward to getting it back to clump size.

I was doing some spring clean up today in the garden, and Huckleberry Candy had a dried scape left on it.
Out of curiosity, I decided to count the bud scars. The scape had three branches and 30 bud scars. I was surprised and when I looked on the registration data, it is registered at 3 branches and 20 buds. It must be happy where it is located Smiling
It has such a pretty face, too.

Thank you, Vickie. That one was a gift from my friend and local daylily grower, and has quickly become one of my very favorites. I just can't quite capture all its shadings!

height 68 in.(173 cm), bloom 5.5 in.(14 cm), season M, Rebloom, Dormant, Tetraploid, Fragrant, 22 buds, 5 branches, Red with a darker red eye zone with a yellow green throat. (Fire Sorceror × Sky Dragon)

Heavenly Gardens: (Gossard, James) 2014 introduction (Fire Sorceror) x (Sky Dragon) Tetraploid 68" Mid season Dormant emo fr 5.5" 4-5 way branching 18-22 buds. Fertile both ways. Rebloomer. Flowers of Headhunter are red with a darker red eye zone with a yellow green throat. This is my tallest red to date, extremely rare to have such a tall red. I believe in zone 6 and 7 it may be another foot and a half taller. From past experience I have found this to be true. Could reach over 80 inches there. Scapes are super good not even falling over in our high wind conditions. Pods are difficult but pollen is easy. A very important parent for hybridizing tall reds with great color. Take a look at the pedigree, it has tetra I See Stars in it twice. It was merged with the Tet. Nutmeg Elf × Tet. Itsy Bitsy Spider genes. Nothing quite like it.

Measured 47" in 2020, 347 days after planting. At 23 months measured 66 inches and it is an early bloomer.
