The Show runs from Jan 16. to the 18. at the Strawberry blossom Farm in Wayne NJ.
Spending some time today at the Show, the exhibits were just beautifully set up with lots of gorgeous Orchids in bloom and we enjoyed it very much! Judging was still on-going.
And - of course, one had to spend some time at the vendor tables too, we saw lots of very nice and interesting plants
I just snapped a lot of pictures, hope you enjoy the Show!
Those pretty Masdevallias were very showy, weren't they? I didn't see the name on the exhibit, but I thought the plants looked like J&l's.
I realize I posted a couple of repeats, I should fix that......
The lighting in the nursery was pretty bad, but I thought the IPad did ok. Btw, you see less and less real cameras at shows like that, it is mostly phones and IPads.
Gosh, I would go crazy at a show like this, Ursula. How in the world does one choose which ones to take home? Maybe its a good thing there are no shows within 100 miles of me!

That's the trick for me, I had to tell myself sternly "don't buy any orchids in bloom any more", unless we're in Apopka.
At shows, if the vendors have a gorgeous big 'not for sale' blooming display plant and then smaller ones for sale of the same thing not in bloom, they are a more reasonable price and I will buy those. I can see and smell what I'm getting but not pay a premium for flowers.
Growing in my relatively uncontrolled conditions here, I just can't justify spending a lot for a plant any more, until I know its type will do ok for me.
