I love Bronco too :)
We don't get high temps but 'Limelight' always does well for me, and glows in it's green way, and 'Hayling' has the most beautiful colour and form along with the waxy type leaves. I hope I get plenty more chicks from my 2 hens this summer!

Try not to worry too much Paddy, Last spring I was convinced I'd lost over half my collection after a long wet winter, but they virtually all bounced back after a bit of TLC

I have lost maybe 4 varieties this winter, from moving them so late in the fall. But not bad when you consider that I moved over 500 varieties last fall.

500?! Did you say FIVE HUNDRED??? Blinking

I saw a crested semp advertised today. Hurray! I think I may have to buy it considering I just bought a crested echeveria (which I will post pics of when I get it).

It's still not sunny so no pics yet. And the temp dropped to 7C last night and still pretty chilly today. It will climb back into the 100s again this week no doubt. Poor plants.

The beds look almost empty since I downsized all of the large colonies. But it won't take long for them to grow.

How are your semps doing tarev? I am so glad you provided a new home for some of them. Group hug

Some are doing okay, making offsets..some are just stalled right now..not dead, but not too actively growing either. I do need to remove some dried out lower leaf parts, but I am delaying it a bit, I think it also helps the plants when it gets cold. It has been way too dry here, just the on and off foggy conditions give them some moisture.

Mine are still kind of in a hibernating mode right now. Won't be long before they wake up and take off. I bet yours really enjoy that fog.

Yes, they do seem to relish the fog, and even for a short time, the sun manages to peek for about 1 to 2 hours in the afternoon. Smiling

Thing is... semp is here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CAC...

But crassula is here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CAC...

And I can't decide though now I'm leaning towards the crassula now *Blush* Shrug!

Or I can get them both and blow my budget completely because people here pay high for things like this.

I think I would go for the Crassula atropurpurea. It will have a very long life span. Where as the crested S. 'Purple Passion' will not live very long, and may not reproduce offsets.

Go for the Crassula Patti, as Lynn suggested...also Crassulas are more actively growing during cooler weather too, so it will be fun to see it go more vibrant. Smiling Seasons will transition soon, so it will be a nice show.
