I guess I'd have as many plants inside year round if I didn't have an outdoor space to have them vacation in the summer. Perhaps many many more...The first is 1/2 the hall plants

Next a picture of the west windows

Ok the rest of the hall followed by the east windows

Ok inside...yes I'd have more if I didn't have outdoor space...more landscaped in like the hall planters..throughout the house..instead of transients in pots

You can't see anything in a photo that shows everything..things you might have missed

Gordon, is that last picture a Mimosa? One of my favorite plants. I didn't know you could grow it indoors.

No Mat it isn't.. but I imagine you could grow a Mimosa inside... with some good light ... it is a pink powerpuff vine...Calliandra surinamensis... like most things [ me includded ] it puts up with being inside for the winter .. but would rather be outside..

do you know Logees... the nursery link I sent, the are great.. real small plants though.. I go up there on occasion.. like in the middle of the winter... their greenhouses are in full bloom... a decades old pondersoa lemon that fills a greenhouse.. and blooming... my ...it's like a trip to the tropics...and you get to bring back ones you'd like to grow... and you get to choose particular plants...often bigger than the ones they might be shipping..but they always have new and interesting plants.. and they will eventually get big..

Thanks Angela...I've made them for years...always gives a bit of life to both the planter and the plant...
I've two of them now...and always on the look out for another ..the silver one has a Tahatian Bridal Veil as the plant...it's the plant I put in my first one...so it always brings a sweet memory of that one.. The plants in the gray one have grown so they have cracked the back of the head out...a victim of my own success

Never been to Logees but just looked it up and it looks amazing. Any other recommendations for nurseries around NYC that don't require a car to get to?

Gordon, your apartment is like a jungle paradise! I'm a fan!

Putting a window box inside is brilliant!

I'm curious what this vine is?
