Sadly, no Leslie. My cats are barn cats -- and I can't afford vaccinations for all of them. They are fed, they are neutered and they go to the vet if they're sick or injured. And that's that. So far, we've been really lucky and have avoided deadly diseases. Just had a cat go through a very nasty sinus infection -- and when I took him to the vet for help, I had him titred for FL and FHIV -- he was clear. If he's clear, then likely the others are too because he was born here five or six years ago. Antibiotics cleared him up and he's fine.
Those diseases are difficult because the cats can be exposed to them, and carry the inactive form of the disease for years before it shows up. My vet said that it's virtually everywhere -- and the next best thing to vaccination is to keep your cats healthy. That's what I try to do.
Bonnie -- that's the way that I think too. I feel so sorry for animals. They are subject to humans.
