I have it too and really love it -- although it's a dormant so its days are probably numbered here in Bakersfield...

Wow, what a nice trio of Rock Candy, Mike! The dark and light colors are so complementary.

I noticed in the database that it is described as "Cream with orchid plum eye and edge above green gold throat." I wonder where the color "cream" comes in at because it looks more along the pink or purple coloring to me in all the pictures I've seen. But, as we all know, colors look different in different gardens and photos.

I found 'Rock Candy' listed for sale at quite a few sites. It must be really popular. I don't normally find so many sites listing a plant. Only one of the sites I looked at had changed the description.
https://earthlytreasures.plant...
So it made me wonder about sites changing a description of plants by the hybridizer. Are there any rules governing that? I wouldn't think so. But, if there aren't why haven't all the other sites also changed that "cream" to a more appropriately named color? Too, on the other side of the coin, I can see where it could lead to a situation with the worded descriptions becoming like some of the doctored up photos we see sometimes.
edited to add:
I saw no photos of 'Rock Candy' that looked "Cream".

Interesting find, Larry. I imagine that changing the description is not something usually done, but in this case it makes sense given that it doesn't appear to look cream-colored in any pictures.

Only a few R's for me, and two weren't doing great here in the Deep South, so they are now living with a friend up north.

Another one that never bloomed much and wasn't happy here.

This one has gotten a little rust a few times but has done well other than that.

Next year I will have a few more R's to add.

This one was a freebie, but I do not recall who from.
I do recall it was nicer than the one I ordered, however.

OK, just looked it up and I got it from the LA seller 'Ddjp0523' when I purchased a very cheap Amethyst Prism (Pierce, 2013) DF.
This bonus was a triple-fan. I felt like I had robbed them. So if I now mention them here I feel like I am making it up to them a little bit.
