Now that's a lot of "S's" Cindy Thumbs up Your Smoky Mountain Autumn picture looks so different from mine. But I like both equally. Not sure if it could be the soil, camera, or both, but even in the database, SMA takes on many different shades Smiling

@blue23rose

They sure do look different in the database but soil, shade, sun, growing conditions all factor in. I took a look at the database in some of the lighter pics may be because they were in sun all day. I usually try and take my pics between 8 and l0 am.

Sea Dragon - usually not a polly

Sawyer's Giggles - what an eye!
But I lost it, not winter hardy here with Tet peppermint Delight genetics

Searching for Blue - no blue but a wonderful saturated color

The lighting, camera and many other things factor in to how the photo appears. I think sometimes shades of purple are the hardest to me to capture.

Sheila Broughton. Does anyone remember those marshmallow peanuts? I think they were called circus peanuts? A long time ago for me. Daylilies like 'Sheila Broughton' and a lot of those sculpted types in the light orange or apricot colors always remind me of those candy peanuts. I just feel like someone should take a bite Smiling .

Snake in the Grass Boo. The one that started me on Daylilies. Smiling Another example of how Daylilies can look different depending on year, lighting, water, etc., on the same plant.
