It's kinda neat Kelli, but doesn't really stand out does it?

Kelli, your green gladioli is beautiful, such a delicate color.

I planted some gladioli bulbs years ago, I can't remember when. I do know it was before 2009-2010, before I started documenting what I was putting in the garden. Years have gone by, with no blooms, and I didn't lift the bulbs. Well, now I have random plants showing up.

I've seen yellow, pink, and lavender blooms so far this summer, but I have to say this red has been my favorite, and it's a great color echo for O. Lily Dizzy, that's close by.

Dizzy is pretty cool, a real standout.

I've had those Peruvians for over a dozen years - they make great photographic subjects.

Thanks jmorth!

I grew Peruvian daffs at my other home in a pot, they bloomed beautifully. We moved to our present home in 2004, and I can't recall what I did with them. I like their unique blooms, and may have to give them a try again.

Sorry for the late response @sgardener, eye problems and a crashed computer...I'm afraid I don't know it's official designation; kind of looks like Wine and Roses or maybe it's Milk and Roses. I received it in a trade probably 10 years ago or so (back when I used DG). It is super photogenic (check out the DB entry under Crinum general entry).

Pretty blooms you have there, Jack. I like your Crinum for the fact that the leaves are short and I like the color of the reverse of the flower. Delagoense and bulbispermum come to my mind seeing your pic. I will check the DB. I think I could find it on ebay once I know the name. Thanks for the reply.

Sharing what I have blooming right now.

I've had amaryllis blooming all summer, which I've never had happen before. This might be the last flower stalk.

Nice! I've had them in the past but they didn't naturalize, though they are supposed too. I maybe didn't water them enough.
