Frost here in April, before mid April, in most years, is not too odd but this year it would be a shock to people and plants. We are sweating in almost ninety degree heat, seeking shade if the sun is out, and the humidity is so thick the mosquitoes don't have to fly.... they can float in it. It's not only weeds that are growing at the speed of light but ground covers are leaping their enclosures and assaulting their neighbors, the hydrangeas are setting blooms, the amaryllis are sending up bloom stalks and if you do not visit the garden for two days you may not recognize it. I don't think I have ever seen spring 'spring' like it has this year. What do the plants know that I don't..... hmmmm???
