Yeah ! This getting old stuff ain't for wimps !! I'm not QUITE as old as Tom, so I still buy green bananas.....but I'm right behind him !
Here's a sign of spring ! The first strawberry blossom ! Small, and only one, but, a sign of more to come !
Lovely gardens Sue. I especially like the impressive piece of driftwood in the garden pathway shot, and the nice mixture of pathway stone. Sets a perfect stage for your plants.

Gorgeous garden Sue! It's great that you've finally begun to really feel better! I agree, gardening it the best physical therapy...and the best psychological therapy too! No matter what ails you, everything seems to be better in the garden!
I have a bunch of irises "swelling" up! Most are the small boys. Here is a list of what is swelling.
Fall Line
Toe The Line
Muggles
Cashmere Rose
Pippi Longstocking
Frothingslosh
Star in the Night
Then I have a few mini stalks; all of which "popped" overnight.
Repeat Performance
Kilimanjaro Sunrise
The last two are TB's.
I sort of hate the late season as it seems that the season becomes compressed because of the heat. It was near 80 over the weekend. Fortunetly it will be in the low 60's for the next week or so with the lowest low showing to be 36!
I wanted a slow down in temp and I got it. Last night and tonight the low will be 37! It did not seem so cold this morning when I went to work. My wife said there were snow flurries when she went to work around 7:30AM. Lovely! But it is going to slow development down a bit. I may have the Kilimanjaro clumpettes labeled wrong. Won't know until they bloom. Here are the pictures of the two "clumpettes" of Kilimanjaro Sunrise.
None of the aforementined "swelling" irises are in the micro clime area either.. Go figure!
I will take a picture from the elevated vantage point. You will see how much "Serious Signage" I have. It looks bad at times (meaning it does not fade into the background)
I have missing parts on one of my Viper blooms. Looks so sad growing sideways with two little horns and one standard.
I have lots of frost damage that caused the leaves to be all rippled instead of smooth, so I fear what the blooms are going to look like. Poor Footloose's bloom stalk is stuck inside the folds of the leaves. I doubt it will develop enough to push through.
